OverviewAMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.Responsibilities

• Sustaining and updating the formal information security program.
• Implementing and enforcing security policies across information systems.
• Reviewing and endorsing system assessment and authorization documentation.
• Providing guidance and support to IT/Information Assurance teams to maintain compliance.
• Reviewing security advisories and bulletins, such as those from AFCERT, ACERT, NAVCIRT, IAVA, and DISA.
• Conducting periodic security tests and evaluations of information systems.
• Ensuring all Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs) receive necessary technical and security training.
• Coordinating security inspections, tests, and reviews.
• Investigating and reporting security incidents.
• Establishing data ownership and responsibilities.
• Developing and implementing security education, training, and awareness programs.
• Developing procedures for hardware/software use and responding to security incidents.Qualifications
• At least 3 years of experience in a SAP/SCI environment within the last 5 years.
• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation. Eligibility for SCI and SAP access.
• MS/MA or higher in any discipline, or an equivalent professional degree. Alternatively, a BS/BA with 15 years of relevant experience is acceptable.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in SAP or SCI environments.
• Must meet DoD Directive 8570.01-M requirements for IAT Level II or IAM Level II within 6 months of position commencement. Additionally, hold Information Assurance Management certification, including Security+ IAM Level 1, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Level 2 and 3 or equivalent.
• Strong judgment and problem-solving ability in managing and executing security programs, effective communication skills, and extensive knowledge of system security policies and practices.Pay Transparency StatementAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $78,100.00/Yr. - USD $164,300.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
